Armaan Dua

arMitr has been a deeply introspective journey for me, so far. It has caused me to question every decision I make along with the ethos which we so blindly assume.

It’s so easy to take things for granted; so simple to want more. Only on being sensitized by such an experience, could I be more appreciative of all the things I am so lucky to possess. ‘Things’ not even materialistic in this case. Simple pleasures such as falling asleep on the couch and waking up in bed, being appreciated by an elder, being thanked for doing something, etc. Actions like these hold such a deeper and profound meaning now, knowing how lucky I am to have things which I so simply take for granted.

Overall, volunteering at Mitr has been a beautiful experience that I shall cherish for a long time to come. I hope that we can add to the family with more caring volunteers, so we could spread the love and create one smile at a time.
