The ‘My Dream’ Campaign

On10403378_278758922312564_9117710629351758752_n (1) the 23rd of July 2014, MITR – A Friend Indeed assisted ‘The Smile Project India’ (founded by Alifiya Mohammed) with the organisation of a drawing competition at the Sant Gadge Maharaj Vidyalay at Koregaon Park. This event was held in collaboration with the Nottingham Trent University’s International Development Office.

10552413_278758038979319_872299500982508754_nThe main objective of the initiative was to encourage the children of classes 7 and 8 to illustrate their aspirations on paper while giving them an insight to international exposure. The initiative also aimed at helping local Indian educational institutions by collaborating with International universities to help lift the standard of education.

5317_278757988979324_1950526873031061350_nRepresentatives of Nottingham Trent University’s International Development Office – David Bailey (Director), Mirza Mujic (International Officer) and Rishi Pokar (International Advisor) were present at the event. With immense humility, they interacted with the children and ensured that each child had a good time.

The session ended with the distribution of prizes and a pizza party, for all the participants, sponsored by Nottingham Trent University.
